Modular Seating Structure

INVENT has designed a modular seating structure with all the components separable. This is necessary, for example, in case of a damage, to detach the damaged individual component and repair or replace it. The goal is to use all components for at least 3 life cycles (all in all 15 years).

The components are glued together, so the glued connection must be separated; for this purpose INVENT, togheter with the project partners (EDAG and Fraunhofer IWU), has developed a technology that separates bonded FRP components without causing damage. In this way, the components can be used several times (after reprocessing).
